Relatividad general y la geometría de ecuaciones diferenciales

Abstract

En esta tesis, se muestran y desarrollan estructuras geométricas subyacentes en cierta clase de ecuaciones diferenciales que estan íntimamente relacionadas a aquellas que dan origen a la formulación de superficies nulas de la relatividad general. Se estudia cómo a partir de cierta clase de ecuaciones derivadas parciales (EDPs) de segundo orden que satisfacen ciertas condiciones, condiciones de Wünschmann, puede ser construída una geometría conforme Lorentziana que convierte al espacio solución de las EDPs en el eventual espacio-tiempo de relatividad general. También, se estudian otras ecuaciones diferenciales y las geometrías Riemaniana y Lorentziana que generan sobre el espacio solución. En particular, se describe cómo obtener la formulación de superficies nulas de relatividad general en n-dimensiones a partir de un sistema de EDPs.
