La Responsabilidad social de las empresas

Abstract

La responsabilidad social de las empresas debe configurarse como un compromiso personal para promover el verdadero bien –el bien en sí- de las personas en la sociedad. Con frecuencia, cuando se habla de la responsabilidad social de las empresas sólo se hace referencia a su contribución en la creación de las condiciones que favorecen el bienestar humano algo muy importante, pero igual de importante es su contribución en la promoción del bien moral de las personas. Esto significa en primer lugar en asegurar que las empresas no promuevan productos, servicios o proyectos que vayan contra la vida humana; que no acepten anuncios publicitarios que rebajen la moralidad pública; que no apoyen leyes que fomenten el divorcio o que rechacen el papel fundamental de la religión en la educación. Pero como para ser bueno no basta con no querer el mal sino que hay que querer el bien, esto significa que la responsabilidad social consiste en algo positivo: promover el bien moral de las personas.
