Reinaldo Arenas: disidencia y distopía

Abstract

En la presente investigación se pretende advertir la disidencia y la distopía en la narrativa del escritor cubano Reinaldo Arenas. Para este propósito se revisarán, en un primer momento, las expresiones dominación cultural, violencia simbólica y la distopía como género literario y como representación metafórica. En segundo lugar, se aludirá a la represión; la homofobia y el heterosexismo normativo como las estructuras psicosociales que animaron el compromiso político (disidencia ideológica) y cultural del autor con su obra y su contexto en tiempos de la Revolución cubana y específicamente, la dictadura de Fidel Castro. En el capítulo tres, se hará referencia al neobarroquismo –propio de la transculturalidad– como expresión artística y postura intelectual del autor y sus contemporáneos. Finalmente, se hará una lectura hermenéutica y en clave distópica de las novelas El Central (1981) y Otra vez el mar (1982) y una canónica de El asalto (1988) como la producción literaria que, desde la voz de la disidencia, constituye un espacio físico, psicológico y simbólico en el atlas de la distopía latinoamericana.
