Abstract

La presente consultoría tuvo por objetivo promover una cultura de Seguridad Ocupacional en el área operativa de la Planta de Lácteos de Sigma Alimentos, mediante un plan de acciones concretas construido a partir de un análisis de necesidades y percepciones.Este proyecto se realizó en cuatro fases: Diagnóstico, análisis e identificación de áreas de oportunidad, levantamiento de plan de acción y presentación de resultados. En las primeras dos fases del proyecto se recopiló y analizó información de la empresa relacionada con Salud Ocupacional. En la tercera fase se conformó un plan de acciones concretas obtenidas del análisis de toda la documentación mencionada anteriormente y en la última fase se presentaron a la Gerencia de Planta un resumen de los resultados del análisis y el plan de acción.La consultoría tuvo como referente conceptual información relacionada con Salud Ocupacional y sus áreas de estudio; específicamente la Seguridad Ocupacional.Los principales hallazgos fueron: un alto porcentaje de la población operativa corresponde con personal de reciente integración a la empresa y se encuentra expuesta a riesgos diariamente, la planta no cuenta con una persona profesional en Salud Ocupacional, los recorridos en las plantas, laboratorios y taller evidencian áreas de mejora en cuanto a distribución del espacio, necesidad de mejoras en estado de maquinaria, equipos de protección personal, infraestructura, manejo de químicos, recursos para atención de emergencias, señalización de zonas de peligro, capacitación en temas de Seguridad Ocupacional y similares para el personal operativo, de mantenimiento y administrativo.

The objective of this project was to promote an Occupational Safety culture in the operational area of Sigma Alimentos diary factory, through a plan with concrete actions built from an analysis of perceived needs and key information provided by Human Resources.This project was conducted in four phases: Diagnosis, analysis, and identification of areas of opportunity, action plan and presentation of results. In the first two phases of the project, information from the company related to Occupational Health was collected and analyzed. In the third phase, a plan of concrete actions obtained from the analysis of all the documentation mentioned above was drawn up, and in the last phase a summary of the results of the analysis and the action plan were presented to Plant Management.The conceptual reference for the data analysis was Occupational Health and its areas of study, specifically Occupational Safety.The main findings were: a high percentage of the operating population corresponds to personnel who have recently joined the company and are exposed to risks on a daily basis; the plant does not have an Occupational Health professional; the tours of the plants, laboratories and workshop show areas for improvement in terms of space distribution, need for improvements in the condition of machinery, personal protective equipment, infrastructure, chemical handling, resources for emergency response, signage of danger zones, training in Occupational Safety and similar topics for operating, maintenance and administrative personnel.
