Abstract

Se estudió el índice de condición, porcentaje de carne y ciclo reproductivo en una población de Anodontites trapesialis glaucus en Sixaola, Costa Rica, de febrero de 1985 a enero de 1986. El porcentaje medio de carne se estimó en 55,31% y el porcentaje medio del índice de condición fue de 62 ,59 variando de 48,0 en marzo a 85,0 en septiembre. Las variaciones mensuales del índice de condición y de la carne mostraron fluctuaciones similares. El desarrollo y maduración del lasidium tiene lugar entre junio y enero. Los picos de desove ocurren entre febrero y también en junio.

Condition index, meat percentage and reproductive cycle were studied in a population of Anodontites trapesialis glaucus at Sixaola, Costa Rica, from February 1985 to January 1986. Mean meat percentage was stimed at 55,31% and the mean percentage of the condition index was 62,59 varing from 48,0 in March to 85,0 in September. The monthly variations of condition index and meat showed similar fluctuations. The development and maturation of the lasidium takes place between juny and jannuary. Spawning peaks occurs between February and also in Juny
