The cost analysis of a health institution, especially if it is a public hospital, always acquires a special significance because of the particularities and complexity involved in the calculation of them, especially because of the amount of indirect costs that the hospital activity presents, which means a complex work of distribution and allocation. In the present research, the development of a proposal for a hospital cost structure in the National Psychiatric Hospital, Presbítero Manuel Antonio Chapuí y Torres, is presented as a main topic, in order to carry out a cost analysis that can be used as a cost management tool, in the quality and productivity of the type of service provided in the health institution.
