Abstract

La obra analiza la génesis, estructura y funcionamiento de las Naciones Unidas de 1945 a la actualidad, así como los diferentes organismos especializados del sistema internacional. Se presenta el papel de Costa Rica en cada uno de los órganos y organismos de la Comunidad Internacional. Se logra apreciar en ésta obra como Costa Rica se convirtió desde la Conferencia de San Francisco en líder indiscutible en el compromiso, promoción y defensa de los derechos humanos y las libertades fundamentales

The work analyzes the genesis, structure and functioning of the United Nations from 1945 to the present, as well as the different specialized organizations of the international system. The role of Costa Rica in each of the organs and agencies of the International Community is presented. It is possible to appreciate in this work how Costa Rica became since the San Francisco Conference an undisputed leader in the commitment, promotion and defense of human rights and fundamental freedoms
