YouTube, una nueva era en el periodismo deportivo

Abstract

El propósito de esta investigación es realizar un análisis profundo de YouTube, y en concreto sobre la especialidad del periodismo deportivo dentro de esta plataforma audiovisual de vídeos. Hasta la fecha no se ha desarrollado un estudio exhaustivo sobre este fenómeno, que ya es una realidad dentro de la industria de la información. El objetivo de este trabajo consiste en descubrir YouTube como medio de comunicación, la figura del creador de contenidos, la consolidación de los periodistas deportivos en esta plataforma y su especial relación con la audiencia. También se pretende analizar las diferencias de YouTube con los medios convencionales, el modo de conseguir beneficios de forma independiente, así como la aceptación de una juventud cada vez más decidida a emprender en esta innovadora red social. Por tanto, este estudio pretende saber hacia dónde se dirige el periodista, la audiencia, el consumo, la publicidad y el negocio de la comunicación en esta nueva era marcada por la revolución digital.

The aim of this project is to analyse Youtube with a special focus on sports journalism within this audiovisual platform. There is no research data on this phenomenon although this is already a reality within the information industry. The objective of this study is to discover Youtube as a media, the role of the content creator, and the consolidation of sport journalists with their special relation to the audience in this platform. Furthermore, it is intended to analyse the differences between Youtube and other conventional media. The way of obtaining benefits in an independent way is also taken into account, as well as the acceptance of a youth being more determined to undertake their professional lives in this innovative social network. Therefore, this study aims to determine the role of the journalist, the audience, advertising and the information business in this new era of the digital revolution.
