De la pintura al arte sonoro

Abstract

This research addresses the integration of sound art in secondary education, understanding that there is a lack of attention to the sonic aspects in the curriculum. To address these issues, an educational intervention was designed to introduce secondary school students to sound art through painting, aiming to enrich their learning experience and challenge existing perceptions. Using a mixed methodology that includes a literature review and an intervention in the classroom at IES Severo Ochoa in Elche, new pedagogical approaches for addressing sound art were explored. Our work is framed within the action research paradigm, a qualitative methodology complemented by data collection in the form of pre- and post-intervention questionnaires. The results of the literature review indicate a growing interest in sound art in education as well as the advisability of addressing it. The classroom intervention shows that utilizing diverse artistic practices can change students' perceptions and foster a greater appreciation of sound art as a highly valuable artistic and pedagogical discipline.
