El marco de protección y el contenido mismo del derecho a la vida en el ordenamiento jurídico colombiano, varió sustancialmente con la entrada en vigencia del Estatuto Constitucional de 1991, y más aún, con el valioso desarrollo que, desde su creación, ha venido desarrollando la Corte Constitucional, a través de su jurisprudencia.
