En este trabajo bibliográfico se muestra en primer lugar el modelo de memoria de trabajo (MT) de Baddeley, así como sus componentes: bucle fonológico, agenda visoespacial, ejecutivo central y retén episódico, que se presentan desarrollados. Así mismo, se incluyen algunos métodos para la evaluación de dichos componentes. Además, se incluyen algunos aspectos relacionados con la MT y las dificultades de aprendizaje, así como algunas pautas de actuación para llevar a cabo en clase.
This essay addresses working memory (WM) and its implications for teaching. Firstly, the WM model of Baddeley is presented, as well as their components: phonological loop, visuospatial sketchpad, central executive and episodic buffer. Then, some tasks for assessing such components are described. An additional section is dedicated to introduce the relationship between WM and some learning difficulties. Finally, some guidelines for classroom teachers are presented.
