Memoria de trabajo en el contexto escolar

Abstract

This essay addresses working memory (WM) and its implications for teaching. Firstly, the WM model of Baddeley is presented, as well as their components: phonological loop, visuospatial sketchpad, central executive and episodic buffer. Then, some tasks for assessing such components are described. An additional section is dedicated to introduce the relationship between WM and some learning difficulties. Finally, some guidelines for classroom teachers are presented.
