Abstract

[ES]En el presente trabajo se analiza la obra narrativa de Francisco Coloane y su influjo en la literatura de viajes a través el redescubrimiento de la novela y del cuento como formas de revalorización regional y autóctona. Siguiendo su camino en ámbito ecocrítico y pasando por algunas etapas del realismo mágico, marcaremos su trayectoria literaria en el contexto nacional (y más allá), destacando los principales puntos de contacto con dos autores viajeros: Luis Sepúlveda, considerado su heredero natural en la tradición cuentista sudamericana, y Bruce Chatwin, innovador del género. [EN]In this project we analyze the Francisco Coloane’s work and his influence on travel literature through the rediscovery of novels and short stories as forms of regional and native enhancing. Following his way in the Ecocriticism and passing through some steps of the magical realism, we’ll dial his literary path on the national context and further, highlighting the main contact with two travel writers: Luis Sepúlveda, considered his natural successor in the South American storytelling tradition, and Bruce Chatwin, the literary genre innovator. Key words: Coloane, travel literature, Ecocriticism, magical realism, Sepúlveda, Chatwin, comparative literature.
