Ludi Circenses en Hispania a través de la epigrafía

Abstract

Hispania, fruto del proceso de Romanización, acogió con gran fanatismo los ludi romani. En este trabajo, nos centraremos en los juegos circenses para analizar lo que en conjunto supuso el ocio como una parte relevante de la vida cotidiana de la sociedad hispánica. Para ello, basándonos fundamentalmente en la epigrafía, así como en otras fuentes complementarias (arqueología, representaciones figurativas, literatura), realizaremos un análisis comparativo por provincias que nos arroje los datos necesarios para así conocer el desarrollo de los ludi circenses en todas sus vertientes: política, social, económica, ideológica.

Roman Spain, the result of the process of Romanization, received ludi romani with fanaticism. In this academic work, we focus on the circus games to analyze which together accounted for leisure as an important part of everyday life of the Hispanic society. To do it, based primarily on epigraphy, as well as other complementary sources (archeology, figurative representations, literature), we carrying out a comparative analysis by provinces that it throw us the piece of information necessary in order to understand the development of ludi circenses in all its aspects: political, social, economic, ideological.
