Arte italiano en el contexto de la II Guerra Mundial: Arte de la Resistencia y Neorrealismo

Abstract

La cultura artística que se dio en Italia durante la II Guerra Mundial y la posterior posguerra supone una fuente importante a la hora de abordar el sentir de una nación que luchaba por recuperar su país y construir uno nuevo. En este sentido, se describe el camino realizado por el arte italiano que fue testigo de excepción durante el régimen fascista y la posterior contienda mundial, dando testimonio de una época llena de sufrimiento y destrucción, pero también apoyando a la resistencia partisana en su lucha por liberar un país dividido y ocupado. Tras la posguerra, la cultura, que aglutinó el arte, el cine y la literatura, abanderó un movimiento de renovación en la sociedad italiana, ejerciendo de transmisor de un nuevo escenario donde el objetivo era recuperar la ilusión y entre todos construir un nuevo futuro, alejándose así para siempre de épocas pasadas.
