
[ES] Esta tesis doctoral trata sobre la aproximación de funciones mediante sucesiones de operadores lineales. La convergencia usual es reemplazada por la casi convergencia y por la sumabilidad matricial. Más allá de la positividad de los operadores involucrados en la aproximación, se consideran propiedades de conservación de la forma más generales. Se obtienen resultados cuantitativos, sobre fórmulas asintóticas y sobre saturación. Finalmente, se plantea un estudio paralelo bajo un marco más general representado por la sumabilidad estadística.
[EN] This doctoral dissertation deals with the approximation of functions by sequences of linear operators. The usual convergence is replaced by almost convergence and matrix summability. Beyond the positivity of the operators involved in the approximation processes , more general shape preserving approximation properties are considered. Quantitative results, as well as results on asymptotic formulae and saturation are obtained. Finally, a parallel study under the more general setting given by statistical summability is proposed.
