Abstract

La Ley 8/2021, de apoyo a las personas con discapacidad en el ejercicio de su capacidad jurídica, supone la adaptación del ordenamiento jurídico español a las exigencias de la Convención de Nueva York, e implica un nuevo paradigma en cuanto al tratamiento de la discapacidad. Ello conlleva, necesariamente, un cambio de actitud por parte de los operadores jurídicos, siendo especialmente destacable el nuevo papel de los notarios, como defensores no solo de la seguridad jurídica, sino del derecho de la persona con discapacidad a actuar por sí misma
