Abstract

La amplia descripción del grupo macuna empieza desde su sistema de parentesco ; su vivienda ; cultivos ; actividades productivas y vida cotidiana. Pasa luego a centrarse en la comprensión de la cosmología macuna ; el pensamiento a través de los chamanes ; su papel en la curación de enfermedades ; así como incluye numerosas fotografías ; cuadros léxicos y rituales. Por última ; el autor decide comparar la investigación con el modelo cosmológico de Reichel-Dolmatoff para las culturas Tucano Oriental del Vaupés.
