Abstract

RESUMEN: Desde la aparición del número imaginario i la relación entre los “mundos" complejo y real es muy estudiada. Llegando a encontrar equivalencias entre ambos que facilitaron el estudio de los complejos a partir de la información sobre los reales que ya se tenía y, al contrario, también el estudio de los complejos permitió obtener resultados acerca de los reales. Esta relación que se da en espacios vectoriales no es igual en variedades, donde no siempre es posible tratar variedades complejas dejando los números imaginarios a un lado. En este trabajo de fin de grado se pretenden estudiar esas equivalencias, tanto en espacios vectoriales como en variedades, para determinar qué variedades permiten esa relación con las reales. Asimismo, se clasificarán dos tipos de variedades casi-complejas en función de sus métricas.

ABSTRACT: Since the appearance of the imaginary number i the relation between the complex and real “worlds" has been studied a lot. Finding equivalences between both that facilitated the study of the complex from the information about the reals that we already had and, on the other hand, also the study of the complex allowed us to obtain results about the reals. The relation that occurs in vector spaces is not the same in manifolds, where it is not always possible to treat complex manifolds leaving imaginary numbers aside. This final degree work aims to study these equivalences, both in vector spaces and in manifolds, in order to determine which manifolds allow this relation with the reals. Also, two types of almost-complex varieties will be classified according to their metrics.
