Las marismas de Alday

Abstract

ABSTRACT: In this project we perform an analysis of ornithological tourism in the natural area of “Las Marismas de Alday” through a study of supply and tourism demand. We analyze the development and planning of this tourism in some cities of Spain like Andalucía or Extremadura, as well as some reference places worldwide, for example, Perú. It concludes that “Las Marismas de Alday” do not have a lot of tourism, most visitors are local, although they confirm that measures are being taken to make it a tourist point in the Bay of Santander. Finally, after the analysis we observed that this type of tourism is not yet well developed or promoted in Cantabria, therefore we propose some improvement proposals.
