Conciliación de la vida laboral y familiar

The Balance of Work and Family Life
Authors: Pellón Sañudo, Iván;

Conciliación de la vida laboral y familiar

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this work is to evaluate and analyze what has been the evolution of work, personal and family life in Spain from its beginnings to the present, differentiating between men and women. It is important to know that discrimination against women has existed and exists, because it was not until the so-called “first equality law in Spain” that the great advances in conciliation were made. In this essay, it is compared whether the economic crisis produced an approach to or a distance from equal opportunities between men and women. In addition, part-time employees are analyzed, differentiating between sexes. On the other hand, in this essay the new family organizations are analyzed and highlighted, which currently have nothing to do with past times. On the other hand, an analysis will be made of how this situation affects the different parts of the labor relationship, employer and employee, where a priori the conciliatory measures may be negative from the point of view of the employer. Without forgetting the importance that laws have had and still have in the application of conciliatory measures. Finally, it will be expressed how companies have been applying the different conciliatory measures and discovering the most innovative in this matter. In addition to the evolution of the ways of reconciling in the 21st century.
