RESUMEN: Desde tiempos inmemoriales el hombre ha sacralizado el espacio y el tiempo convirtiéndolos en objeto de devoción, de festejo, de peregrinaje y de consumo turístico de masas. El presente trabajo quiere acercarse al fenómeno religioso en las diversas manifestaciones que el hombre ha legado, custodiado, celebrado y compartido en un mismo espacio y en un mismo tiempo. Asimismo, se pretende poner en valor las expresiones de la religiosidad popular así como su transmisión de manera continuada facilitando la conjunción del homo ludens y homo religiosus. La importancia de la dimensión sagrada del ser humano permite que sea una fuente de recursos patrimoniales que sirven como apoyo a la preservación y desarrollo del patrimonio. La existencia de entidades de gestión cultural del patrimonio religioso que de manera multidisciplinar potencien la investigación, fomenten la participación, el intercambio formativo y la difusión del Conocimiento son más necesarias que nunca en un mundo cada día más deshumanizado que ha perdido el placer de la contemplación, la inquietud por el saber y el hábito de la reflexión.
ABSTRACT: From time immemorial man has sacred space and time turning them into an object of devotion, celebration, pilgrimage and mass tourism consumption. The present work wants to approach the religious phenomenon in the varios manifestations that man has inherited, guarded, celebrated and shared in the same space and at the same time.Likewise, the expressions of popular religiosity as well as their transmission in a continuous way are endeavored to facilitate the conjunction of homo ludens and homo religiosus. The importance of the sacred dimension of the human being allows it to be a source of heritage resources that serve as support for the preservation and development of the heritage. The existence of cultural management entities of religious heritage that in a multidisciplinary way promote research, encourage participation, educational exchange, dissemination of Knowledge is more necessary than ever in a world more dehumanized that has lost the pleasure of contemplation, the concern for the knowledge and the habit of reflection.
