Revisión sistemática: tratamientos del EPOC moderado o grave

Abstract

ABSTRACT: OBJECTIVE: The aim of this systematic review is to determine and compare differenttreatments for EPOC in subjects through the analysis and study of the scientificevidence available on this topic. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A search of articles was performed using MedLinedatabase. Inclusion criteria for the selection of studies in this review were: randomizedclinical trials published since 2011 in humans, adults over 18, in English, Spanish orPortuguese. Exclusion criteria were: articles whose patients had other significant effect, articles that subjects have necessarily exacerbations of EPOC, the goal would not beclear or had personal interests, or items without placebo or control groups, treatmentswithout the supervision of one therapist and items that were not considered significant .Six articles were selected for this review. RESULTS: Four of the studies had positive results in improving the basal state orsymptomatology of the subjects. The other two studies found no significant differencesbetween the control group and the treatment applied. DISCUSSION: The information found in selected clinical studies and methodologicalheterogeneity is such that you can not make a comparison between the two methods .The RP should be considered as an essential part of the maintenance process to improveexercise tolerance and symptoms of each patient. It is important to continue research onthis topic.
