Educación intercultural y programas de formación intercultural: docentes inclusivos

Abstract

ABSTRACT This Project deals with an emerging issue in Spanish schools: Intercultural Education. In this respect, the education system needs to be transformed, both in schools by teachers trained in this field, and in the community, where families play an essential part in the development of curricula and pedagogical contexts focused on an inclusive education. This type of education must appreciate every educational factor: teachers, students and families Students are the main recipients of this kind of education. They will be responsable for respecting their schoolmates, helping those who are in a more disadvantage situation. This project reviews the current state of intercultural education in Cantabria (Spain) and contrasts regional policy with the personal experiences of four primary school teachers at a public school.
