Abstract

ABSTRACT : During clinical clerkships medical students become active agents, getting involve in many dif-ferent healthcare interventions, of patients, of people who receive medical attention. Being an observer – sometimes an actor- agent may have huge ethical and legal implications. In this final grade work (“TFG” in Spanish) we will analyse those aspects related to patient’s privacy protection, taking into account the Spanish law “Orden SSI/81/2017”. It is a protocol of basic guidelines for guaranteeing and protecting patient’s privacy right by students and res-idents. During the writing we will alternate the analysis and discussion of the ethics and the legacy with author’s experiences. In addition, our approach would be mainly local, so we will focus on clinical clerkships done by medical students in Cantabria University (“UC” in Spanish) in Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital (“HUMV” in Spanish).
