Abstract

This Bachelor's Thesis investigates the effectiveness of integrating Greek mythology as a guiding theme for music education in primary schools. Through a musical didactic sequence, it analyzes how the use of mythological themes such as Pandora, Orpheus and Eurydice, Persephone and Hades, as well as the story of Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon, can enhance students' musical learning. Participants are fifth-grade students. The method involves creating and implementing a didactic sequence, formative assessment, and qualitative research. Results show a positive impact on students' musical understanding and cultural connectivity. Conclusions suggest the importance of interdisciplinary integration for holistic and meaningful learning
