Abstract

I denne oppgaven følger vi deltagere på et kurs i hvordan å håndtere og mestre vanskelige perioder i livet. Kurset er et sammarbeid mellom Fretex Pluss og NAV og tilbys minoritetsspråklige som er på arbeidsrettede tiltak. Gjennom deltagende observasjon og intervjuer med deltagerne på kurset, får vi et innblikk i hva som oppleves belastende og hva som er betydningsfult i livene deres. Ved å hovedsakelig benytte meg av Kenneth I. Pargament sin teori om religiøs mestring, ser vi videre hvordan religiøsitet kommer til uttrykk i deltagernes refleksjoner om mestring og håndtering av de utfordringene de møter på. Fordi kurset er en del av et prosjekt med ønske om at tilbudet skal tilpasses målgruppen i større grad, diskuterer jeg mot slutten hvordan kurset fungerte for deltagerne.
