El cerebro cambia según las experiencias de aprendizaje y se adapta a las demandas del ambiente. Esto ocurre durante toda la vida. Por ello, se afirma que hay plasticidad cerebral, puesto que el cerebro se “modifica físicamente a través del reforzamiento, el debilitamiento y la eliminación de conexiones existentes y el crecimiento de nuevas (OCDE, 2009, p. 26)”. Gracias a esta capacidad del cerebro podemos aprender en cualquier etapa de nuestra vida. De ahí que la edad ya no es excusa para no aprender.
