La dimensión social del libro de artista. Aproximaciones al libro-arte desde el análisis de la relación arte-sociedad

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objeto de estudio el Libro de Artista. Con el propósito de analizar su dimensión social, nos aproximamos al campo de estudio desde la consideración del arte como sociedad.Desde los años 60 del siglo XX hasta la actualidad, el enfoque social del Libro de Artista se ha ido reorientando. Desde el interés inicial por la democratización del arte, asociada a objetivos de transformación social, la relación con la sociedad del Libro de Artista se ha ido modulando, y la encontramos fundamentada en las funciones sociales que asume. El Libro de Artista se evidencia como una forma artística capaz de tomar conciencia y participar en la sociedad.Esta investigación está fundamentada en la metodología cualitativa y el paradigma interpretativo, Desde las aportaciones interdisciplinares al tema, se recurre al estudio de casos, el análisis documental y la observación directa de Libros de Artista en distintos contextos. Abordadas las preguntas de investigación, el Libro de Artista se revela como un arte cuya una dimensión social se articula desde la interacción con el contexto a nivel social, cultural, económico y ambiental. Desde su condición de arte y de libro, con objetivos transformadores y funciones de naturaleza social, el Libro de Artista responde a diversas inquietudes sociales.
