El presente trabajo analiza el diferente tratamiento otorgado por el pensamien-to grecolatino a la figura de Alejandro Magno, modelo de los emperadores romanos. Se deli-nea la trayectoria de la imitatio Alexandri desde los orígenes del Principado a la época de los Severos. = The present work analizes the different treatment granted by the Greco-Latin thougth to the figure of Alexandre the Great, model of the Roman emperors. The trajectory of the imitatio Alexandri is delineate from the origins of the Principate to the Severan period.
