The present work proposes to investigate a holistic view of vocal technique, transcendent experiences in singing and the psycho-spiritual transformation that takes place in the journey of learning lyrical singing. The dissertation is composed of a literature review related to the chosen theme, a reflection on the 4 dimensions of the human being - corporal, mental, emotional, spiritual - and the voice, a note on the hero's journey and its relevance and connection with the opera singer's own journey and an analysis of interviews carried out on the subject.
O presente trabalho propõe-se investigar uma visão holística da técnica vocal, experiências transcendentes ao cantar e a transformação psico-espiritual que ocorre na jornada de aprendizagem do canto lírico. A dissertação é composta por uma revisão de literatura relacionada com o tema escolhido, uma reflexão sobre as 4 dimensões do ser humano – corporal, mental, emocional, espiritual – e a voz, uma nota sobre a jornada do herói e a sua pertinência e ligação com a própria jornada do cantor lírico e análise de entrevistas realizadas sobre o tema.
