Texto narrativo e texto dramático no 1º ciclo do ensino básico

Abstract

This study aimed to promote the knowledge in Science Education in 8-9 year-old children attending primary school in association with the study of narrative and dramatic texts. They should also develop competencies in reading comprehension (namely identification of main ideas and knowledge on the structure of narrative and dramatic texts) and use them in writing this kind of texts. We collected data on the performance of the children that took part in this experiment, through the activities included in the didactic intervention. The content analysis of these data revealed that these children had improved in reading comprehension and written production of narrative and dramatic texts and acquired knowledge and new vocabulary on two important topics: the extinction of animal species and food chains.
