Neologismos léxicos laborales.

Authors: Quesada Vargas, María;

Neologismos léxicos laborales.

Abstract

This article presents 82 words and multi-verbal phrases designating the names of occupations listed in the subdivisions Management, Operational, and Services in the Job's section of the newspaper La Nacion, the supplement "elempleo.com", and the employment offer published between April and September 2005 in this newspaper. These neologisms reflect the varied processes of word construction in the Spanish language system. All units possess the feature of novelty inherent to neologisms and are not listed in any of the lexicographical works consulted. They are in the first phase of incorporation into the language; that is their emergence and identification by speakers. Their future will depend on the user's appropriation of them and usage frequency. Once they stop being an individual creation to become of collective use, they will come to enlarge the employment lexicon of Costa Rican Spanish.
