El presente trabajo pretende llevar a cabo una lectura del cuento El jaspe (1956) de Fabián Dobles desde la concepción mítica del héroe, propuesta por Joseph Campell (1972). Se propone el tema del viaje del héroe que a través de la transgresión del poder intenta redimir el cosmos externo.
