Actividades masónicas en la ciudad de Puntarenas (1870-1876)

Abstract

El presente artículo analiza el desarrollo de actividades masónicas en la ciudad de Puntarenas entre los años de 1870 y 1876. En una primera parte explicamos la expansión de la masonería en Costa Rica. Luego el desarrollo de esta sociabilidad en la ciudad puntarenense. Para finalmente analizar la reacción de la Iglesia católica en Puntarenas ante el establecimiento de esta forma de sociedad de ideas.
