Cachaza voló sobre el nido del cuco: una relación intertextual

Abstract

En este texto se intenta un acercamiento entre la novela Alguien voló sobre el nido del cuco, de Ken Kesey, y Cachaza, de Virgilio Mora Rodríguez, a partir de la representación de la imposición de la locura, de la enajenación, en dos espacios de encierro confluentes: el asilo. Tanto los personajes centrales de cada una de ellas: Mc Murphy, en el texto de Kasey, como Cachaza, en el de Mora Rodríguez, pasan por el filtro de una imposición que los va reduciendo, a partir de un discurso legitimado, y quizás mayormente revestido de enajenación, como lo es el de los doctores y las enfermeras. La locura, por lo tanto, se convierte en una construcción (y constructo) que es impuesta por el discurso revestido de la razón, aun con todas las dudas que este genere.Es por ello que en el ámbito en el cual estos se mueven, así como los demás pacientes que los acompañan, emerge la fuerza de una Razón que desdice la sinrazón de los “enfermos”, motivo por el cual cualquier asomo de cordura es revestido de una irracionalidad proveniente de este discurso que los reduce y los define. La locura, en realidad, es más una locura social intrínseca a todos, y no tanto la locura de quien vive y sobrevive en el espacio de invisibilización propia del asilo.
