Paisagem sonora: uma proposta de análise

Abstract

Resumo: Este artigo discute o uso do som ambiental na composição musical, particularmente nas músicas denominadas Paisagem Sonora. O uso de tal material sonoro nas composições criadas com meios tecnológicos após a década de 1960 tem gerado grandes controvérsias no que se refere à sintaxe musical que tais sons podem gerar. O som ambiental também proporcionou importantes discussões relativas às teorias de percepção sonora. Relativo a este ponto são apresentados os processos de escuta baseados na abordagem ecológica da percepção auditiva, provenientes da teoria da percepção direta de J. J. Gibson. Essa teoria é tomada como base para uma nova proposta de abordagem do material sonoro ambiental e sua inserção no processo composicional. Pretendemos, dessa forma, levantar os problemas que geraram tais discussões, assim como realizar uma pequena incursão na teoria de escuta ecológica de Gibson. Concluímos apresentando o uso de tais propostas como abordagem analítica para as Paisagens Sonoras.
