Abstract

Territorio intensivo es un proyecto artístico compuesto por tres piezas fotográficas a color y una pieza audiovisual. Explora plásticamente e intenta presentar una visión molesta y reflexiva sobre la excesiva mercantilización del territorio, extrapolado esencialmente al ámbito del turismo y el urbanismo en la Costa del Sol. La elección del territorio se debe a su condición como destino turístico por excelencia en España desde los años 50 y a la consecuente creación de estereotipos y expectativas en torno al icono que supone a nivel internacional. Esto lo llevo a cabo por medio de la perversión plástica de la imagen comercial convencional de la Costa del Sol. Se intenta dar lugar a imágenes ambiguas que, aunque tienen características estéticas comunes en nuestra sociedad, crean una cierta incomodidad en el espectador, y pretenden introducirle en una dimensión reflexiva que le haga cuestionarse cuáles y cómo son las expectativas que tenemos sobre una imagen comercial y la postura que adoptamos frente a la mercantilización del territorio. Para terminar, este documento recoge todo ese proceso de investigación y evolución que ha experimentado el proyecto hasta la fecha, el cual considero que no está finalizado ya que es un proceso fluido de conocimiento del territorio y autoconocimiento, que siempre podrá ser ampliado.
