Abstract

La conferencia trata de explicitar la necesidad de atender a la diversidad del alumnado mediante estrategias que permitan adaptar los objetivos educativos a sus diferencias individuales y concretamente a los distintos estilos de aprendizaje. Para ello, la autora considera de relevante importancia cómo el aprendizaje se produce en cada persona de forma singular, en función de las interacciones particulares que se establecen con el entorno, los adultos y los iguales. Todo esto lo lleva al ámbito universitario acentuando la importancia de la formación de todos, sin excluir a nadie, de las competencias profesionales que cada alumno ha de adquirir según el nuevo Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior. Por ello, pone el énfasis en la manera y forma en la que aprenden los alumnos para que logren tener éxito en la academia individualizando la enseñanza, con el firme propósito de indagar en aquellos métodos que hagan que cualquier alumno consiga una enseñanza de calidad. La heterogeneidad de los servicios empleados, como el papel que juega la orientación educativa y el asesoramiento se tornan en ejes principales e indicadores de calidad, que a través del conocimiento de los estilos de aprendizaje desarrollan instrumentos eficaces de inclusión dentro de los espacios educativos, y generan estilos de enseñanza adecuados a las dimensiones y al conocimiento particular de cada individuo. La finalidad última de esta conferencia se sitúa en destacar las capacidades, estilos y tareas para potenciar las preferencias dominantes y paliar los puntos débiles.
