Derechos de los animales y deberes de justicia

Abstract

La defensa de derechos para los animales es promovida por Regan. Su enfoque de los derechos está basado en asignar un valor inherente a todo sujeto-de-una-vida, es decir, se enmarca en la idea de defender un estatus moral a partir de una categoría formal para dar cuenta de la consideración moral. El enfoque de los derechos de Regan restringe la consideración en función de la capacidad para atribuir derechos morales a individuos animales no humanos. Tal perspectiva conduce a acentuar tensiones entre concepciones liberacionistas y bienestaristas al intentar resolver cuestiones morales por vía de la protección legal. Básicamente se desestima los vacíos no cubiertos por el reconocimiento de derechos en los animales. Vacíos asociados al desarrollo del tejido moral de la sociedad a partir de nuevos contenidos y valores resultado de encuentros y desencuentros con seres ajenos a la condición humana
