Abstract

[ES] Las monedas de la provincia de Málaga han sido objeto de numerosos estudios centrados en dar a conocer tanto la colección que alberga el propio Museo de la capital malagueña como el material que ha sido hallado en este territorio. En este sentido, destacan sobre todo las investigaciones publicadas por el profesor B. Mora Serrano, quien desde hace décadas viene desarrollando un gran esfuerzo por (re)valorar la importancia de la Numismática en regiones como es la que nos ocupa. Por ello, remitimos a sus trabajos para una mayor profundización sobre este material his- tórico-arqueológico. No es, de hecho, nuestra intención presentar aquí un examen exhaustivo de todas las monedas de Málaga que pudiesen interpretarse como pie- zas con mujeres. Por el contrario, el presente estudio analiza la difusión de los iconos vinculados con determinadas emperatrices en las se integraron elementos ligados al recuerdo social y la memoria colectiva. Para ello, proponemos profundizar en varios ejemplos, no sin antes recordar la importancia que tuvo la divulgación de personas conocidas en el numerario romano.

Este trabajo se ha realizado en el marco del Proyecto “MEMUMA. Memoria Mujeres Málaga. Estudio, catalogación y análisis de las representaciones femeninas romanas en la provincia de Málaga” dirigido por la dra. Eleonora Voltan.
