Junto con la oferta tradicional de alojamientos en núcleos urbanos, en los últimos años la región viene experimentando un cambio significativo al alza de distintas modalidades de establecimientos relacionados con la importancia adquirida por la práctica del turismo rural y de naturaleza. El objetivo general de esta comunicación es estudiar la distribución territorial en Castilla-La Mancha de los alojamientos turísticos, tradicionales, rurales y nuevas modalidades, así como establecer las posibles correlaciones positivas entre los mismos y los espacios naturales protegidos con un importante valor paisajístico asociado a las áreas de montaña media de la región. La metodología desarrollada se ha articulado en torno a la información proporcionada por el Registro Oficial de Alojamientos de Castilla-La Mancha y el análisis espacial mediante su representación cartográfica tanto a escala regional como a escala de las áreas de influencia de los parques naturales. En los últimos años este territorio ha experimentado un cambio significativo al alza de distintas modalidades de establecimientos turísticos relacionados con la existencia de espacios naturales protegidos como reclamos turístico, lo que, unido a la oferta tradicional de alojamientos, ha generado impactos de diversa índole (sociales, económicos, etc.) en las comarcas de montaña analizadas.

In recent years, the region of Castilla-La Mancha has experienced a significant change in the rise of different types of establishments that have joined the traditional offer of accommodation and related to the importance acquired by the practice of rural and nature tourism. The main objetive of this communication is to study in detail the territorial distribution in Castilla-La Mancha of traditional, rural and new types of tourist accommodation, as well as to establish the possible positive correlations between them and the protected natural areas. Many of them have a high landscape value associated with the regions mid-mountain areas. The methodology developed has been based on the information provided by the Official Register of Accommodation in Castilla-La Mancha. In addition, a spatial and cartographic analysis had been carried out showing the information on a regional scale and on the scale of the areas of influence of natural parks. This territory has experienced a notable change in the number of new types of establishments opening. Many of them are linked to the existence of protected natural areas as tourist products. This fact, together with the traditional offer of accommodation ha generated impacts on the following aspects like economic, social, etc. in the mountain regions analyzed.
