Abstract

This modest entry in the travel notebook of the Entreparques shire is not a publication in any indexed journal, but rather an example of the transfer to society of the research results of the Hydroecology Research Group of the University of Castilla-La Mancha. In particular, it shows how aquatic ecology work can feed rural tourism initiatives, with a view to adapting the production model of the region to the restrictions that climate change is already imposing. That is, replacing the current, unsustainable production model—which is based on agro-intensive practices—for one in which nature and socioeconomic development cooperate with each other, through the search for sustainability.
