El estudio de género. Una competencia transversal en la formación universitaria

Abstract

La Guidelines for Social Work Education and Training (IASSW-IFSW, 2002), documento marco para la formación en Trabajo Social, especifica que es imprescindible la formación en el análisis de género para los profesionales del Trabajo Social. El propósito fundamental de los trabajadores sociales es tratar de paliar las desigualdades e injusticias sociales, siendo fundamental mantener la coherencia entre el plan de formación y los objetivos profesionales. Por ello, desde nuestro centro se presta una especial dedicación al estudio, conocimiento, análisis, reflexión, investigación e intervención en el campo de la igualdad de género. Presentamos en esta comunicación una experiencia sobre el desarrollo conjunto de competencias vinculadas a la igualdad de género que se está desarrollando desde distintas asignaturas de diferentes departamentos en la E.U. de Trabajo Social de Cuenca.
