Data related to young offenders are various and numerous but in Spain are not available many times. Consequently, the author cautions about the analysis of this class of criminal offenses given the metodological problems and sucesive legislative changes. In addition, the interpretation of these official statistics should be done taking into account these changes . The use of other alternative sources should allow understanding some of the informations included in official statistics about this type of delinquency.
