Abstract

For several years, the Catálogo Colectivo del Patrimonio Bibliográfico is integrating periodicals. In this paper we define the type of serial publications. The article reviews the history of serials in Spain in the nineteenth century, the typology, and explains how to work with them in the CCPB, under the criteria of a bibliographic record for publication and a holding for the collection of a library. It describes the description of serials in CCPB and their holdings
