Recursos naturales y volcanismo: Turismo volcánico

Abstract

Yellowstone (USA), a giant volcanic caldera, was the first National Park created in the world in 1872. Volcanism and tourism go hand in hand in many volcanic areas of the world, especially in volcanic oceanic islands. These islands, including Canary Islands or Hawaii, have many factors favouring mass tourism, especially the weather, beaches and landscapes. All these factors are closely linked in the Canaries with the geology of each island, so its evolutionary stages determine its climatic zoning, and the presence of sandy beaches and landscape diversity
