Análisis contrastivo de los diferentes tipos textuales en el ámbito de la ciencia y la tecnología: medicina y arquitectura

Abstract

Los diferentes tipos textuales que aparecen en el ámbito de la Ciencia y la Tecnología presentan diferencias relevantes en cuanto a su organización estructural y a la terminología utilizada. A lo largo de este artículo nos planteamos analizar diversos tipos textuales pertenecientes a dos campos de estudio totalmente distintos: el ámbito de la Medicina (Ciencia) y el de la Arquitectura (Tecnología). Una vez analizadas las características textuales en ambos campos de estudio pasa- remos a desarrollar una serie de tareas y actividades cuyo objetivo consiste en facilitar el reconocimiento de los diversos textos (artículo de investigación, reseña bibliográfica y abstract) por parte de los alumnos y ayudarles en la posterior escritura de los mismos. Con este artículo pretendemos poner de manifiesto que la misma tipología textual dentro del Inglés para Fines Específicos muestra diferencias substanciales dependiendo del área en la que estamos trabajando, ya sea la Ciencia o la Tecnología.
