Abstract

La elaboración del vino ha sido amada por las sociedades de la Antigüedad, especialmente la griega y romana, quienes estipularon las bases de su desarrollo y producción. De hecho, los conocimientos y procesos que estos dejaron asentados han permanecido prácticamente intactos hasta mediados del siglo XIXX, y han ejercido una poderosísima influencia sobre la concepción de las festividades y religiosidad en toda la cristiandad. De este modo, el artículo que propongo a continuación, pretende establecer una serie de relaciones entre el vino y sus diferentes concepciones dentro del mundo romano y la cristiandad, a partir de uno de los mosaicos de la Casa del Anfiteatro de Mérida y el Lagar Místico de Hieronymus Wierix.
