Vestuario para El triunfo de las Germanías

Abstract

En enero de 1937 el gobierno de la República de España se encontraba en Valencia. La Guerra Civil estaba en un punto de inflexión y la moral de los defensores de la República descendía por momentos. El Ministro de Instrucción Pública encargó a los intelectuales: José Bergamín y Manuel Altolaguirre una pieza dramática. Después de varias vicisitudes, El Triunfo de las Germanías se estrenó en el teatro Principal, en enero de 1937 por la Compañía dramática experimental. En este artículo se analiza el documento inédito que se ha encontrado ahora y donde se describe el vestuario utilizado para su representación.

In January 1937, the Government of the Republic of Spain went to Valencia. The Civil War was a turning point. The Minister for Education commissioned two intellectuals, José Manuel Bergamin and Altolaguirre a play to encourage people. The Triumph of the Germania was released in Valencia at the Teatro Principal in January 1937 by the Experimental Drama Company.
