Abstract

Since the end of the '80's, the actors-dramatist-performers of the Italian Teatro di Narrazione are developing interesting and complex plays in which a refined technique on stage and the representation of works of a high both social and political relevance are suitably combined. The model set up by Marco Paolini with his 'civil prayers' and the production by the dramatists of the so called Teatro civile, a favourable scene for public denunciation and collective memory, can't overlook one of the most dramatic chapters of recent Italian history: the Nazi's occupation of the country and the subsequent partisan fight. These subjects, far from being forgotten, have gained relevance in the theatre of the last decades.
